Helping Stray Animals
The Stray Animal Form is temporarily unavailable while we complete a software transition. Please email info@hsnei.org with your information and a description of the animal and where it was found.
Stray Cats
Please email info@hsnei.org or call 563-382-0500 prior to bringing a stray cat/kitten to the Love and Friendship Center so we have time to prepare a housing area. Our goal is to help as many adoptable cats as possible while ensuring the health of cats in our care and operating within our state licensing limits. If you find a stray cat, please fill out the form below.
Cats must be free of obvious disease and be calm enough for staff and volunteers to handle. Note, if the cat has the left ear tip missing, it has been spayed or neutered and cannot be taken into the Center. We post pictures of stray cats on Facebook to try to locate their homes. If unclaimed after 5 days, we make them available for adoption.
