Free, industry-recognized training that helps HSNEI volunteers reduce fear, anxiety, and stress for the animals in our care.
Getting Started
After watching the program's introduction video and creating your personal Fear Free Shelters account (including the HSNEI Verification Document with your name and number of volunteer hours per month), you're ready to start on Level 1 Certification!
- Ask your volunteer coordinator for the program introduction materials and your HSNEI Verification Document.
- Create your personal Fear Free Shelters account.
- Complete the Fear Free Shelters self-paced training modules 1–4.
- Email your completed certification to HSNEI Volunteers to schedule a meeting with an HSNEI staff member and complete Level 1 training.
