Veterinary & Wellness Visits

Routine care is the foundation of a healthy life. We provide vaccines, parasite prevention, physical exams, and long-term health planning for dogs, cats, and other animals.

Veterinary exams and wellness visits are available by appointment only. Please email us to schedule your appointment, or call to leave a message at 563-277-7117.

Preparing for Your Visit

We believe transparent pricing is part of accessible care. You'll find current service fees listed below so you can plan your visit with confidence and no surprises. Here's what helps us provide the best care possible:

  • Your animal's health history and any past veterinary records you have
  • Current medications, supplements, or recent treatments
  • Questions about diet, behavior, or preventive care
  • A transport plan and aftercare arrangement if a procedure is scheduled

When you arrive, our team will walk you through everything — from the initial exam to next steps. We'll make sure you leave with a clear understanding of your animal's health and a plan you feel confident about.

Exams & Prices

Our listed prices reflect the cost HSNEI needs to receive to continue providing low-cost services — we encourage everyone to pay what they are able. If prices are more than what's comfortable to pay and you live in Allamakee, Clayton, Fayette, Howard, or Winneshiek counties, please know you are welcome here. No questions asked.

For translation services, please contact us when scheduling your appointment so we can make the arrangements.

Veterinary exam and consultation appointments include an exam and consultation with our veterinarian and are for any medical, behavioral, or general concern (note: we are not an urgent care or emergency facility). These appointments are generally for first puppy/kitten visits, pre-dental evaluations, geriatric pets (dogs over 8 years/cats over 12 years), and medication refills.
